SIX MILLION NAMES

Pillow, linen cover, straw, sand, mixed media on canvas
80 x 40" (200 x 100 cm)

MYTHOLOGICAL INFORMATION

Hercules seized the cattle which were being held by the giant Geryon in overly crowded circumstances. He drove the cattle over the Alps, and the animals were free to spread over Europe.

DAILY DIARY

The pillow and the cover that Bernd Fasching slept on during the short twelve nights at Jerusalem House were worked into this painting.

The absence of one man represents that of six million men and women.
A culture in shambles.
